Just a very quick update. Went to see the Gastro doc today, as follow up from Husband's hospital stay last week. He was able to confirm that the biopsies showed that Husband had had an infection, but that the infection must have completely cleared up by now, as there is no further problem with food retention.
We also went to see the Orthopaedic surgeon today - same hospital - thanks to my amazing brother-in-law the doctor and his network of doctor friends. I called up my bro-in-law last night, and within 2 hours he had found the right connection to get in touch with the right Ortho surgeon in the hospital that we go to in KL, and got that surgeon's confirmation that he would definitely see us if we went to see him today, despite the rather last minute notice :-).
So, we did see him this morning. We are now going to leave home in 15 minutes to go back to the hospital to do an MRI of the lower back region, as the Ortho surgeon wants a clear picture of the spine, to help him identify if the pain that Husband is suffering from is a problem of the spine. This is just the first step in what COULD be a rather long-winded exploratory process to identify the source of the pain and take the necessary steps to control it... but I am glad that we are FINALLY taking this step.
Tomorrow we go back to see the Ortho surgeon, with the MRI scans, and see what happens from that.
Fingers crossed and prayers going that he IS able to identify the source of the pain QUICKLY and do the necessary to resolve and STOP the pain.
Till next time, stay safe, stay HEALTHY!
