MRI done!

Finally! Got into the day care ward at the hospital by 2.30pm, and they came and took him to the radiology department (where the MRI is set up) at 4pm. I went down with him, and waited while they did everything. The anaesthesiologist was there, all ready with his paraphernalia. It did not take him long to knock Husband out, but the procedure itself took almost one hour. He was back in the day care ward by 5.30pm, and was sitting up, and dressed 10 minutes later - aching all over, in total pain :-(, waiting for the tubes to be removed from his hand so he could go home. He had not been able to take any pain killers at his usual time of 3pm, as he had to fast (no food, no drink) before the procedure, and he is no longer able to dry swallow meds.

So I gave him his pain killers at 6pm, and we left the hospital soon after. Of course, the pain killers don't kick in for at least one hour, so you can imagine how much he was suffering during the drive home! He is lying down now, trying to catch his breath. Am going to get him up in about 20 minutes, so he can have some beef stew to eat, and then he has to lie down again and rest.

Tomorrow is our visit to the ortho surgeon. Still praying that he can identify the problem and FIX it fast.

Till next time, keep Husband in your thoughts and prayers, and stay safe, stay HEALTHY!
