Was at the hospital today, just to check all the surgical wounds at the back, and am happy to say that all the staples are out and the dressings are all off, except for the part where the skin graft is, and a short stretch where there are sutures. All the wounds are healing extremely well, which is great news.
So, what is the down side? Well, the fact that Husband has a very very very (too many 'very') painful back - kind of like having red hot skewers poked into his coccyx. So it is still a problem lying down in any position - he has to keep changing sleeping position, from one side to the other (sleeping on his back is still not possible!).
We are going to Melaka this weekend to the hospital where my brother and his wife are both doctors(!) to see the oncologist there, and they will also organise doing the relevant CT Scans, the Xrays, etc, to check if the cancer has spread anywhere, and to check if there is any problem with the spine that is causing the back pain....
Other than that, we are having the packers/movers in tomorrow, to pack up some of our stuff from our PJ house, to move to our new condo in Mont'Kiara. The packing takes place tomorrow, the moving takes place on Friday, the trip to Melaka is on Saturday and when we come back on Saturday we will be at our new place :-)
We also have Husbands very good friend (Kevin) here from the UK - he took the time and the trouble to get his business sorted out and managed for him, so that he could fly here to be with us for a couple of weeks. His timing is excellent as that means he is helping with the move :-)
So, that's all the news for now folks. Till next time, keep us in your thoughts and prayers and remember - stay safe, stay HEALTHY!!
