That is the million dollar question. The pain that Husband is suffering on the lower back (all that trauma from one miserable, stupid, "could-have-been-avoided" bedsore) is constant and agonising.... and, since I assume the plastic surgeon knows what he is talking about with all his experience, it may take up to ONE YEAR before he recovers from that trauma!
Pain killers dull the pain, but can't take it away. He absolutely CANNOT lie down on his back, and to try and sleep only on one side, without moving and without being able to turn over, is very difficult. To sleep on his left side he has to sit up first, then take the pillows from the head of the bed, put them at the foot of the bed, and then lie down on his left side. When both his left and right hip get too sore, then he has to get up and walk for a while..... So, how to get uninterrupted sleep?
Well, I guess this is just a chance for me to vent my frustrations here... so thank you for listening :-p. Remember, all you readers, stay safe, stay HEALTHY.
PS: It is our 10th anniversary today. I am praying that by the time we get to our 11th, Husband will have recovered fully from both the pain and the cancer. Keep us in your thoughts and prayers.
