Yes, there is still a down-side :-p. Simple really - it is all well and good for Husband to know that the cancer marker is going down and his stomach and intestines are technically fine BUT, the reality is that he is STILL living with the pain, the nausea, the lack of appetite, the lack of energy, the diarrhoea, the abdominal discomfort, etc, etc, etc. So, Yes, it DOES still get him down when he feels sick, weak and tired.
Is there anything that can be done? Hmmm, not really, other than to keep encouraging him, cheering him up, taking his mind off his discomfort, etc. How can that be done? Well, I talk to him, bug and tease him, tell him about the emails and phone calls I get from friends, try and get him to read or watch TV, get him to get up and take a walk around the swimming pool at least once a day, etc.
Is there anything that you can do to help? Your prayers for one! And, if you have the time to visit, drop by - come for a meal, or just come for a cup of tea. You don't have to stay for long :-) because I know you are all busy people, but it does help Ken to take his mind off himself and his discomfort. And for those of you who dont live in KL, you can come for a visit too - we have 2 guest rooms!! Just check if those guest rooms are available for the days that you want to come :-D.
Get a small group together and come along.... and since I am not a great fan of cooking, we can do a pot luck, or we can go round the corner to Hartamas or MK Plaza and get food from there and bring it back to the house to eat!
Here's hoping to see you all at some time or the other... and, till next time, stay safe, stay HEALTHY!

Hi Sheila & Ken,
Been wanting to drop in but down with a bit of sore throat & cough so I don't want to risk either of you getting sick too.
Been reading your blog and you're always in my prayers, esp that the pain stops & that He grants total healing.
Love you guys!
