My poor Husband is just so incredibly depressed. He is in SUCH A LOT of pain, and it is getting more and more unbearable. Pain killers don't help other than to just barely dull the edge of the pain. It is awful, awful, AWFUL, to see him like this - and I end up in tears just seeing the pain and suffering he is going through.
I have asked my brother to make an appointment for us at one of the hospitals not far from where we are, with the doctor in charge of the Pain Management Centre. She is apparently one of the best in this region. I am not going to listen to any more of Husband's "NO's" whenever I say that we should see a pain management specialist, or whenever I talk about having an injection in the back to control the pain. He says "Can you imagine the pain of the injection?", and my answer this time was "Would you rather a ONE OFF shot of pain because of the injection, followed by weeks of pain relief? Or constant pain like you are suffering now?"... so, no more listening to Husband on this. I AM TAKING HIM TO THE PAIN MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST!
Please continue to keep Husband in your thoughts and prayers, especially for the pain to ease, or for him to have the strength to withstand the pain until such time as the pain management specialist can DO something about it.
