To everyone out there, including all the non-Chinese, I truly hope that the Year of the Ox, which looks like it is going to be a tough one for all and sundry globally, will prove to have a silver lining SOMEWHERE in those dark clouds. And to trot out another old saying .... It is always darkest just before dawn. So let's hope that dawn is not too far away and, while waiting, be prudent with financials, but be extravagant in spending time with family and friends!
Went out on Friday night with a lovely lady (H) and her husband (O), and they brought along baby Danny too. First time that Husband and O are meeting up (H and I became friends when I was on my previous project). H has met Husband before, and they get along well, but she and I were wondering how our two QUIET and RESERVED husbands would get along. We found out pretty fast, cos Danny, who was VERY well behaved, woke up towards the end of our meal and decided he was hungry, so I took H and Danny up to the nursing room on Level 3 of Centrepoint, which meant our 2 husbands were left with each other. Am happy to say we had nothing to worry about in the end. They hit it off really well, and had a good chat, and Husband thinks O is a great guy! H told me later that O thinks Husband is a great guy too.... PHEW! We must plan another outing in the not too distant future :-D
Today is Chinese New Years Eve, 2nd day of a 4-day weekend :-) which Husband and I are using to just chill out and relax, with no schedules, nothing planned..... except that we are going to see Inkheart this evening, at VivoCity Gold Class. Write-ups on it weren't great, but then, we would go see it anyway, because we are both Brendan Fraser movie fans!
Nothing "exciting" planned for the next 2 days either, but just to enjoy the down-time. So, till next time, may life smile on all of you. And, once again, GONG XI FA CAI and KONG HEE FATT CHOY.
