It's 2008! Already!

The usual lament - where does the time GO?

Xmas and New Year were, as always, an ongoing MEAL. Cakes, cookies, bits and bites, everywhere you look! It is almost a relief that it is all over - well, OK, over for NOW... but with Chinese New Year in one month, we are heading towards another round of food, food, and more food.

So, what's been happening since my last update?
- Dad still progressing well - he has been going for regular physiotherapy sessions and is much stronger now. He is already itching to start driving again!
- Xmas was great fun - whole family present for our Xmas Eve family dinner, except for my beloved (and beautiful) #1 niece who is in Moscow in her first year of medical studies.. and doing rather well too! So... we went out for dinner and just ate WAY too much. Also had great fun making noise and mess with the party packs at the restaurant, totally covered our table with confetti and streamers :-)
- Xmas Day itself was Open House. We had friends arriving from 10.30am through to 4pm. My Mum had my brothers maid to help, and she really did help. Mum supervised and instructed on the cooking, and the maid did all the work. She was great!! Food was good, and there was more than sufficient for all visitors, and, best of all, there were not too many left overs! Thanks to all those who honoured us with their presence, we really enjoyed having you over!
- New Year was quiet for Husband and I. We drove back to SG on Sat 29th Dec, and had a nice relaxing lead up to the New Year with just him and me. Were total couch potatoes on Monday 31st, watching movies till midnight, then toasting each other with a yummy liquer drink we had just got the previous day, then continuing in couch potato fashion till the movie was over and then to bed, to bed said sleepyhead. We were actually up fairly early on New Years Day - my resolution not to be a lazy bum in the mornings.
- My only other resolution is to get off my butt and do some EXERCISE. Which, so far, has consisted of me going along for the ride when Husband drove to work yesterday and today, and then walking from his office back home - a distance of approx 7km. Tomorrow's exercise is going to be house cleaning :-D !! Fingers crossed, and wish me luck that I have the stamina to stick with exercising, and the WILL!

Heading back to KL this Sunday 6th, as I have client meetings next week - and then returning to SG on Thursday 10th as I have a client meeting on Friday in SG!! Following week I head back to KL on Thursday 17th, as I have a client meeting in Penang on Friday.... then from Sat to Mon the whole gang from my department are off to KK for a break - and, the icing on the cake, Husband is coming too! Wonderful!

Oh, before I forget, I got tracked down by an old classmate of mine who studied with me at Charters Towers School, Bexhill-on-Sea, Sussex, 30 YEARS AGO!! I have to give credit to her sleuthing skills, and her persistence... thanks Marie!!! She has put me back in touch with some of our other classmates and I hope to catch up with them over the next few days and weeks, via email, and skype :-D

I hope you all have a wonderful year ahead - filled with joy, blessings, love, and, hopefully, prosperity!
