... Yep, this will be a QUICK update. Of the 3 tubes coming from the sealed wound, only ONE needs disconnection, and that is easier than saying 1.2.3!! The other 2 tubes are attached to small plastic bottles which can just be picked up and carried around. So, when Husband needs to get up, I disconnect the one tube and unhook the small bottles from their location. Husband gets up, I pass him the bottles, and he walks around the room, stretches, does some gentle leg exercise, sits in one of the chairs to have his meals, etc, then he hands me back the bottles, I keep the tubes out of the way as he gets back into bed, put the bottles back on their hooks, and then re-connect the one tube... and that's it.
Please do keep praying for Husband that the rest of his recovery will continue to go smoothly. We can't afford to keep delaying start of chemo!!
