The play "The Swordfish, then the Concubine" was written by a good friend - Kee Thuan Chye, who is a pretty well known Malaysian playwright. It is a fairly dark comedy, and should be good fun. The last play he did, which I was pretty heavily involved in, and TOTALLY enjoyed being a part of, was "We Could **** You, Mr Birch". This was also performed in Singapore, and I can vouch for the fact that the audience in Singapore loved it! And, if that, plus Chye's talent, is anything to go by, this will be equally good!
So, if anyone is interested, go check out the Sistic web site, or go to the http://www.singaporetheatrefestival.com web site. The play runs from 6th to 10th August, at the Drama Centre Theatre.
The location of the Drama Centre Theatre is:
100 Victoria Street
National Library Building
Level 3 (Drama Centre Theatre)
Singapore 188064

Husband and I are going on 9th August, for the 8pm show.
Hope at least those of you in Singapore who actually read my blog can make it, and I am sure you will enjoy it!
