Yep, one of the rare times that I got sunburnt. Hadn't been paying attention to the sun angling in under the gazebo, while we were in Tioman, so my right arm and right leg got nicely cooked, and now it looks like I have some dreadful allergy with all that peeling skin. The only thing positive I have to say about it is that it didn't hurt at all, unlike when Husband gets burnt and he can't bear to have anyone touch him!
Went back to KL on 5th May... to pick up my parents from KLIA on 6th May as they made their way back from their 3 weeek holiday in India. Not sure I would call it a 'holiday' with all the travelling they did to visit the million and one relatives, and of course, the main purpose of the trip had been to attend the wedding of one of my Dad's nephews.... Mum was totally exhausted by their holiday.... and needed a few days to recover!
Husband joined me in KL on 11th May evening - 12th May being a public holiday in both M'sia and SG, and we had a great weekend in KL. Wasn't particularly relaxing, but it was good - shopping at Plaza Low Yat on Friday, followed by hi-tea gang get-together on Saturday. Sunday was a lazy day, and we flew back to SG on Sunday evening... sigh...
The hi-tea get together was, as usual, a great deal of fun. Imagine, if you can, five Indian (Malayali) women - all of whom are talkative, non-demure, funny, witty, intelligent, sharp, sometimes cutting, totally sarcastic at times - sitting around a table (WITH husbands keeping us company), with no holds barred. It was GREAT! The food was good too, but that was a side benefit of the get together. The real benefit is just having such a great bunch of people as friends!
Been back in SG since 14th evening, and somehow don't seem to have much energy to do anything. It is all I can do to persuade myself to go to yoga! Ah well, it is just laziness... I will get my energy back.
In the meantime, to all my friends who read this blog... have a really nice day, week, month!
